Noah hearts the Jayhawk

A Christmas gift from Grandma and Grandpa...

Six Months Old!

Cute photos of the little man on his half birthday...

Christmas Morning

Even though his big sister wasn't feeling well, Noah managed to stay healthy and got some help opening his presents on Christmas morning...

Too much excitement

All tuckered out on Christmas Eve...

Updated Stockings

George's stocking has no longer been displaced by Noah's...

Little Artist

Noah's teachers are phenomenal... check out the presents they helped Noah to make.

They "antlers" are his handprints, and the reindeer's "face" is his footprint. So sweet. I have now become one of those parents who wears their kid's artwork on a shirt. Oh well...
Santa's "beard" is also Noah's little handprint. Ho ho ho...

Holiday Party Time

Noah and his little friends exchanged presents at a party this week... he needed a little help from Daddy!

Bath Time

One of my absolute favorite parts of Noah's day is bathtime... check out the happy little camper.
His big sister always enjoyed bathtime, too...

Why is he smiling?

I had a faint (very faint, mind you - I am NOT a fair weather fan!) twinge of guilt after dressing the little man in a Chiefs hoodie before the game. Obviously Noah is oblivious to the dreadful season we are suffering through... or perhaps he had a feeling about Carl Peterson's resignation?!

Union Station

It really starts to feel like the holiday season when we take a walk to Union Station...

In addition to all the beautiful holiday decor, there is Obama stuff EVERYWHERE! It is official - Obamania has taken over DC, and our little family is very much looking for to Inauguration Day... looks like it will be a simple, quiet day spent with 5 million of our closet friends :) Here is J. making friends with one of the (many) cardboard cutouts of 44... We ate lunch at a restaurant upstairs so Lily could get a bird's eye view of the model trains. She was so happy to see the setup - it's amazing how her little memory works, but she had been asking about the trains since last holiday season. She was a very proud big sister and kept asking Noah if he saw the trains...

Noah was not as impressed with the Christmas tree as Lily was...

The stockings were hung...

We put our holiday decorations up last weekend... very cool to hang Noah's first stocking! Although the was a slight problem when I realized we only had four stocking holder.
Poor George got the shaft... I have promised him that I ordered new stocking holders (five in total) but he still seems to think I'm suspect.

Active Little Man

Noah has become quite the mover and shaker lately... he loves to "stand" in his exersaucer or hang out in his jumper.

Rolling, rolling, rolling...

I tried to shoot some video, but apparently Noah is a little camera shy when it comes to milestones. But he's been rolling over a lot lately. Part of me is proud, part of me wants him to stay his happy, bubbly, and immobile self for a little while longer...

Grandma and Pop

J's parents are in town this weekend and Noah has enjoyed some extra snuggles from his grandparents!

Family Feet

It's been COLD in DC lately, so Noah has been rocking his first pair of boots. I don't know why, but I couldn't help smiling as I noticed his little boots alongside our shoes. I love the sight of four pairs of shoes by our front door.

It's Officially Impossible...

...to take a good photo of Noah and his big sister!

A few of the many pieces of evidence of this fact below...

Hey Brother, Can you Spare a Bib?

Our little Drooler McDrool has officially entered the phase when you have to change his shirt hourly...

Squash

I'm a pretty lazy cook these days, but we have had a lot of lovely autumn squash in our produce box each week. I finally got around to doing something with the butternut squash and figured Noah deserved a little taste...

Happy baby at the doc's office...

Four months old!

Yesterday I attempted to blog from my iphone... Looks like it worked
okay. How great is technology?!

Noah's 4-month stats:
14 1/2 lb
24 inches

Woohoo!

Reading is Fundamental

Just remember that, at this age, it's more the sound of my voice and not the content that matters to the little guy. Could be US Weekly, could be Salman Rushdie - Noah does not have a particular prefernce... yet.
